Mola Templates

Mola is a very old handicraft transformed by Erica Pels into a brilliant paper cutting technique There are seven Mola cutting templates available. The starting point of Mola is to work with layers of papers. Using beautiful Hanji paper and adhesive stones, this will give you an excellent effect. Attach the stencil to the card with napkin tape and cut the basic pattern out of the card along the edges of the stencil. Glue another color of paper behind the pattern, which was cut out. Cut certain figures of the pattern out of this paper, but make sure that along the edges of the basic pattern a small strip of the cut-out paper remains visible.

This strip should at least be 1 mm wide, but may also be wider. Then glue a second color of paper behind the pattern and cut the same figure or other figures. This time a second small strip will be visible around the basic pattern. Continue gluing other layers of paper and cutting out until the desired result is obtained.
